Since April 2019, Cláudia has served as Chief Executive Officer of Sonae. Cláudia has been working at the Sonae Group since 1994, where she has held several positions in companies spanning different activity sectors. Cláudia began her professional path at Sonae with the Visa Universo project, and afterwards she was in charge of Optimus’ Marketing and Privates Management in 1998. Between 2001 and 2018, Cláudia took the lead at Sonae Investment Management, a company dedicated to managing investment in information technology applied to retail and communication. In 2013, Cláudia was appointed CEO of Sonae Capital, a PSI 20-listed company, and was responsible for managing a diversified company portfolio across the energy, real estate, tourism, fitness and industry sectors. Cláudia is currently a member of a number of Executive Boards, which include Efanor, Sonae, Sonae MC, Worten, NOS, SonaeCom and Sonae Capital, among others. Cláudia holds a Bachelor’s in Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, an MBA from INSEAD and has attended several management courses at Harvard University and Stanford University.

Maria João Ribeirinho is a McKinsey Partner at the Lisbon and Madrid offices. With a MSc in Economics from Porto’s Faculty of Economics (FEP) and an MBA from INSEAD, Maria João joined McKinsey in 2004 and has since supported clients in several countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa, focusing on the Infrastructure, Electric Power and Natural Gas sectors. She is a leader in the Capex & Mega-Projects Service Line for the Professional Practice of Infrastructures in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

João Bento – 59, married, 2 adult children –, is CEO of CTT - Correios de Portugal and the VP of the Engineering Academy, Portugal. He has a Civil Eng. Degree (1983) and an MSc in Struct. Eng. (1987), both from Técnico, Lisbon, a PhD in Civil Eng., from Imperial College, London (1992), the equivalent Doctoral degree from Univ. Lisboa (1992), and holds an "Agregação" in Intelligent Systems, again from IST (1998). In 2018 he completed the Certificate in Corporate Governance by INSEAD after sucessfuly concluding its International Directors Program. At present, he holds various non-executive or advisory positions. He is a Permanent Member of the Advisory Board of AICEP – the Portuguese Agency for Promotion of Foreign Investment and Trade, a Member of the General Council of the Portuguese Institute for Corporate Governance, a Member of the Advisory Board of ANI – the National Agency for Innovation – and the President of the Quinta do Peru Golf and Country Club. In his previous executive assignment was CEO of Grupo Manuel Champalimaud (2015-19). Prior to that position, he was CEO of Efacec (2011-2015) – Portugal’s leading electrical power solutions industrial provider leading the company through a process of deep restructuring culminating in the joining of a new majority shareholder. Before that, he was Exec. Director for Brisa, Portugal (2000-11), responsible for the operational restructuring of the company, as COO, and later undertook business development, including diversification and internationalization, having Chaired the BoD of several concessionaires or operational companies of the Brisa universe in the road and high-speed rail sectors in Portugal, Brazil and the USA. He has held non-Executive BoD positions in various other entities, such as the Foundation Centro Cultural de Belém (2014-16), the General Board of the University of Lisbon (2014-17-19), the José de Mello Group (2013-15), CCR (Brazil, 2008-10), Adamastor Capital (2002-04) and EDP (2000-03), then the largest company in Portugal, at a time when REN, the Portuguese TSO, was created by spin-off. He was also Exec. Director at Brisatel – a carrier’s carrier telecom operator (2000-01) and Logiser – a software house he founded (1985-87; 92-94). João Bento is Honorary and Past President of ASECAP (the European Association of Tolled Motorways) and was the President of COTEC Portugal – the Portuguese Association for Business Innovation, Member of the BoD of IBTTA (International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association), President of APCAP (the Portuguese Association of Tolled Motorways), Member (and co-Coordinator) of CNEI – National Council for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Chaired by the Portuguese Prime Minister), member of the Advisory Board of InIR (the Portuguese Road Sector Regulator) and of the Board of Trustees of the Portugal-Brazil Foundation. He acted as a Volunteer for the association Junior Achievement Portugal, between 2008 and 2015. Having derived from an academic career (is a tenured Full Professor at Tecnico, Lisbon, where he worked prior to undertaking corporate management positions in 2000), he maintained until 2011 a regular academic interest at the Civil Eng. & Arch. Dept., Tecnico, having supervised 11 PhD Theses and 15 MSc Theses. As an academic, he has authored or co-authored more than 160 scientific papers, books or book chapters. In 2016, João Bento was awarded the Grã-Cruz da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique (Grand Cross of the Order of Henry the Navigator) by the President of the Portuguese Republic.

CEO at Euronext Lisbon
Isabel Rute Ucha da Silva is the CEO of Euronext Lisbon, the company that manages the securities exchange in Portugal, and CEO of Interbolsa, the Portuguese CSD. She is also a Board Member of Euronext NV, an international group that manages several European exchanges. Isabel Ucha holds a Master Degree in Finance from London Business School and a Undergratuate and Master Degree in Economics from Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics and NOVA School of Business and Economics, respectively, the top two business schools in Portugal. Professionally, among other activities, she was an economic advisor for the Prime Minister of Portugal for 4 years, was Head of Issuing and Markets for the Portuguese Debt Management (IGCP), held several positions at CMVM, the Portuguese securities regulator, and was a managing partner of a consultancy firm for around 7 years. Simultaneously, Isabel Ucha maintained a strong academic path, lecturing several Economics and Finance courses (Economics, Corporate Finance, Economics of Finance, Economics of Regulation, European Economics, Portuguese Economy, Corporate Governance).
