Executive Board Member at NOS
Ana Paula Marques is an Executive Board Member at NOS SGPS, with responsibility over Transformation, Brand and Communication, Customer Service, Human Resources, Installation and Maintenance, among others. Ana Paula Marques holds a degree in economics by Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and an MBA from INSEAD. She was an Executive Board Member at Optimus and President of the Telecom Sector Association (APRITEL). Previously, she was Director of the Mobile Residential Business Unit, managing both Marketing and Sales. During her time at the Operator, she was also Brand and Advertising Director and Data Services Business Director. She started her career in Marketing at Procter & Gamble.

Maria João Ribeirinho is a McKinsey Partner at the Lisbon and Madrid offices. With a MSc in Economics from Porto’s Faculty of Economics (FEP) and an MBA from INSEAD, Maria João joined McKinsey in 2004 and has since supported clients in several countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa, focusing on the Infrastructure, Electric Power and Natural Gas sectors. She is a leader in the Capex & Mega-Projects Service Line for the Professional Practice of Infrastructures in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
CEO of EDP Group
António Mexia has been the President of the Executive Board of EDP since 2006. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Geneva and was a professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Universidade Católica Portuguesa between 1982 and 1995. From 1990 to 1998 he was member of the Board of Directors of Banco Espírito Santo de Investimentos and, in 1998, he entered the Gas sector as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gás de Portugal and Transgás. In 2000, he joined Galp Energia as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, and became Executive Chairman of the company in 2001. In 2004, he was appointed Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communication of the Portuguese Government. In 2013, he received the Honoris Causa Graduation from “Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão” (ISEG) and in 2014 he was honored by The President of the Portuguese Republic with the “Grã-Cruz da Ordem do Mérito Empresarial”.
CEO of Luz Saude
With a degree in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and an MBA from Universidade Nova, Isabel Vaz began her professional career as a researcher at the Institute of Experimental Biology and Technology. She also worked at Mckinsey, where se was senior consultant for seven years, participating in projects primarily in banking and insurance. Since 1999, Isabel Vaz is Chief Executive Officer of Luz Saúde Group, leading more than thirteen thousand employees in 30 health facilities, including the Hospital da Luz in Lisbon. Since 2012, the Group manages also a public hospital in a public-private partnership - Hospital Beatriz Angelo, in Loures.
President of INSEAD’s International Alumni Association
Sadia Khan has pursued a versatile career path traversing investment banking, financial regulation, family businesses and entrepreneurship across three continents. With Masters degrees in Economics from both Cambridge University, U.K and Yale University, U.S.A, Sadia started her career at Lehman Brothers in New York. Since then she has worked with various international institutions and local regulatory authorities, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Philippines, the Securities & Exchange Commission and the State Bank of Pakistan. She is currently the President of INSEAD Alumni Association and the CEO of Selar Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd, a company she founded in 2011 while working as the Group Executive Director in her family-owned business, Delta Shipping (Pvt) Ltd.
General Manager Cisco Portugal
Sofia Tenreiro is the General Manager of Cisco Portugal since 2015, after 8 years as Board member in Microsoft Portugal. Through her very diverse background, she holds experiences in different industries (FMCG, Media, Telcos, IT B2C and B2B) and roles (management, sales, marketing). She finished her degree in Business Administration by Universidade Católica Portuguesa, having been working in the IT business for more than 10 years given her passion for what Technology can change the way we live and do business. Her career started in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (Procter & Gamble and L’Oreal), and later in Optimus (Sonae), before she joined Microsoft, as the Retail Country Manager for Portugal. She later enlarged her responsibilities as Consumer Channel Groups Lead in Microsoft, including all other consumer business (Telcos, and B2C devices) and part of the B2B business (SMBs’ on premise business and B2B devices). During 2016 Sofia was elected the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Portugal (Amcham) at the same time as she serves on several Advisory Boards.
President of the General Council of the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance
With a degree in Law from Universidade Clássica de Lisboa, where he was a lecturer, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa is the President of the General Council of the Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance, the Founding and Managing Partner of SRS Advogados and he is a reference as a legal advisor in Finance and M&A. Pedro advises domestic and international clients on significant banking and finance matters, as well as structuring and executing big ticket M&A transactions. Currently holds non executive positions in several corporations and institutions. With more than 40 years of experience, Pedro has a unique banking and finance background having been a senior officer in international investing banking in Brasil and New York, and also as Chairman/ CEO of a Portuguese bank.
Dean of Nova SBE
Daniel Traça is Dean and Professor of Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), in Lisbon. He is also Visiting Professor at INSEAD, in France and Singapore. Previously, he was Assistant Professor at INSEAD, and held the Marie et Alain Philippson Chair in Managing for Sustainable Human Development, at the Solvay Business School, in Brussels, where he was Vice-President and Director of the MBA Program. Daniel was Visiting Professor in the KDI School of Management and Policy, in Seoul, and in the Graduate Institute of International Economics, in Geneva. Daniel graduated from Nova School of Business and Economics and obtained his PhD from Columbia University, New York. He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the European Commission and published his scientific research in several leading international academic journals in the field of Globalization and Economic Development.
